BandLab Technologies today announces that following 17 successful years in print, world leading media brand MusicTech will move to a digital only format in 2021. This allows MusicTech to meet audience interests and needs, as it concentrates on the growing success of its online channels, and expands its audio and video formats.
The future of MusicTech will see the introduction of a dynamic, monthly digital cover and a broader editorial remit that will extend MusicTech’s reach across new audiences and verticals.
Holly Bishop, UK Country Director and Global Head of Media Strategy, BandLab Technologies says “Audiences are understandably spending more time online than ever before and we need to keep up with demand. Our progressive digital strategy will allow us to capitalise on this audience shift by freeing up resources to focus on new media platforms.
Recent successes across our media portfolio include the return of the legendary NME Awards and the launch of the world’s leading virtual guitar show, Guitar.com Live. We’re excited to bring this level of ambition and innovation to the world of music technology.”
“We’ll be bringing our highly credible editorial output into an enhanced digital proposition, providing the best daily service in this space, while enabling us to be fast paced and accessible. We’re extremely committed to showcasing the best of music gear and technology innovations, as we elevate the intersection between music and technology. Conversely, we will also be leveraging the MusicTech and Guitar expertise across all our media brands to integrate gear news across existing verticals. This is a very exciting time for our portfolio of music-focused media brands.”
The MusicTech issue on sale this Thursday (17 December) will be the last monthly print edition, celebrating all the best gear of 2020.
