After eight years on staff, Dan Stubbs will be stepping down from his role as Deputy Editor of NME on 29 February. Alongside pursuing opportunities outside BandLab Technologies, Dan will be continuing his long association with NME in a freelance capacity under the new title of Consulting Editor at BandLab Technologies, working to develop new media opportunities and products. Dan will also be acting as Interim Editor of NME until a new Editor is officially appointed.
Meng Kuok, CEO of BandLab Technologies says, “Dan’s contribution to NME has been wide reaching and greatly appreciated over the last eight years. We’ve got some great upcoming projects that he will be driving across the business and we’re sure he’ll bring his excellent experience and skillset to bear in any new role or project he’s involved with next.”
Dan Stubbs says, “Working for NME for the past eight years has literally been a dream come true. I’m immensely proud to have seen the brand through a period of constant change and challenge in the marketplace, and even prouder to leave NME poised for bigger, better and brighter things with BandLab Technologies at the helm and a hugely talented team in the editorial engine room. I’m particularly excited to have the chance to lead group brands in new areas such as spoken word and video, but equally I’m looking forward to having the chance to explore my own personal passion projects too.”
