From April 25th-27th, the three-day activation celebrates d4vd’s album launch with immersive installations, album merch, the release of a BandLab Extended Edition album, and special appearances by d4vd
NEW YORK, NY; 17 APRIL, 2025 — BandLab and breakout artist d4vd are teaming up for a three-day pop-up experience in New York City to celebrate the release of WITHERED, his debut album on Darkroom/Interscope. Running from April 25th-27th, the BandLab x d4vd Experience invites fans into the world behind the music, from his early DIY sessions on BandLab to a genre-blending rise that now includes billions of streams, major label success, and his first Coachella performance.
The pop-up is free and open to the public, offering a multi-sensory look at d4vd’s artistic evolution. Fans can explore never-before-seen footage, rare outfits, and a re-creation of the closet where he first began recording music. Fans can also snap photos in front of a wall of white roses, shop event and album merchandise, and explore the sounds of WITHERED at custom-built listening stations.
In addition to the public experience, VIP ticket holders will gain access to exclusive programming featuring d4vd, providing a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the making of WITHERED and the artistic journey behind it. On Friday, April 25th, d4vd will celebrate the day of the album launch with an intimate fan meet and greet, including a stripped-down acoustic performance and group photo opportunity. On Saturday, April 26th, d4vd will host a creator workshop, sharing insights into his creative process and offering live feedback on fan-submitted demos.
Before the charts and sold-out shows, d4vd was making music in his sister’s closet, using just his phone, wired earbuds and BandLab. More than just a starting point, BandLab became a core platform for d4vd’s process, as a space to experiment, shape his sound on his own terms, and craft early tracks like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” breakout tracks that would go on to storm Billboard charts and resonate with tens of millions of fans around the world.
That same creative foundation runs through WITHERED. Much of the album was recorded on BandLab, which remains central to how d4vd creates today. The result is a cinematic blend of alt-rock, shoegaze, and R&B. It’s a debut that feels raw, intentional, and deeply personal.
Alongside the standard edition of WITHERED, d4vd and BandLab have also announced a special digital-only BandLab Extended Edition featuring two bonus tracks: “Unrequited” and “Where Did You Go.” Both versions of the album are available to pre-order now.
Admission is free with registration. Limited VIP tickets, also free, unlock access to events like an in-person meet and greet with d4vd, an acoustic performance, a creator workshop and Q&A, or a concert watch party streamed live from Houston. All VIP ticket holders will receive 12 months of BandLab Membership for free and a special goody bag.
Tickets, full programming details, and digital pre-orders for the BandLab Extended Edition of WITHERED are available at https://bnd.la/d4vd.

ABOUT D4VD
d4vd, born David Burke, emerged as a visionary artist only one year after he began writing and recording heart-piercing tracks alone in his sister’s closet in Houston, Texas. d4vd developed his eclectic taste in rap and indie music from internet wormholes and fan-made Fortnite videos on YouTube, which he also started creating as a homeschooled teenager. As an avid player who has amassed over fifty thousand subscribers on his gaming channel, he noticed that the songs in his game montages were getting copyright strikes, and his mother suggested that he write original music as a solution. This motivated d4vd to start recording his own tracks after discovering an easy-to-use music-making app called BandLab. He’s released a smattering of singles touching everything from indie-alternative to pop to R&B, and the 18-year-old scored a breakout hit in the summer of 2022 with the now RIAA Multi-Platinum certified melancholic indie rock song “Romantic Homicide.” Recorded entirely on an iPhone, the track reached No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and led to d4vd signing to Darkroom/Interscope before graduating high school. His slow-building beachy ballad, “Here With Me” followed, breaking into the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2023 and now RIAA Platinum Certified. d4vd’s debut EP Petals To Thorns established him as a genre-defying newcomer and one of the best new emerging acts, corroborated by his recent Billboard 21 Under 21 and Variety Young Hollywood honors. His intuitive command of lyricism stems from his years of scribbling raps and poems in his journal since childhood and his versatile interests shine in his music, drawing primarily from manga and anime. Following on the heels of his spring headline ‘The Root of it All’ debut tour, which sold out immediately upon going on sale, and a successful run of sold-out European tour dates, d4vd brought his ‘Petals To Thorns’ tour to larger stages in the US than ever before. Amid his European run, d4vd put on a show-stopping performance at the Valentino Men’s SS24 Fashion Week show in Milan. He recently followed up his debut EP with The Lost Petals EP – a collection of five songs that fit into the world of Petals To Thorns and serve as a continuation of that project before d4vd moves into his next phase of music. Since then, d4vd joined R&B powerhouse SZA on the second leg of her North American S.O.S tour and sold-out his ‘My House is Not A Home’ Tour in entirety before its kickoff, where he is playing the largest venues to date. For his upcoming debut album, WITHERED, d4vd regrounded himself, interspersing time creating on BandLab in his sister’s closet in Houston – where he first began making music – with London sessions alongside Jack Hallenbeck, Scott James, and silent$ky, and Los Angeles collaborations with super-songwriter Ryan Tedder and Tyler Spry. d4vd’s creative process spans beyond music, drawing inspiration from anime and cultivating a unique visual universe with recurring themes and characters. Known for his infectious enthusiasm and unconventional approach, d4vd continues to captivate audiences.
